I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences. I received a Master of Science degree in Counseling from California State University, East Bay in 2008. My specializations include child and adolescent mental and behavioral health, parenting, and perinatal mental health. I have advanced clinical training in Perinatal Mental Health, EMDR, and Theraplay.
I have over 12 years of experience providing therapeutic services to children and families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego County. I have had the privilege of helping families address barriers to mental, behavioral, and emotional well-being such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, parenting struggles, and much more. My approach is attachment-based, strength-based, informed, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe in identifying and addressing unmet needs that lie underneath mental health symptoms in order to bring about sustainable growth and change. I have a special interest in supporting women and their families through the unique challenges that can arise during pregnancy and postpartum. I am a professional member and volunteer with San Diego's Postpartum Health Alliance. When not meeting with clients, I stay busy as a proud mom of two.
I am a lifelong learner and I am constantly seeking out information, consultation, and education that can help me better serve my clients. I believe that therapy works best when it feels entirely safe, collaborative, and authentic.
